2006 Oriental Logistics Christmas Party (21 December 2006)

On 21st December, 2006, Oriental Logistics Holdings Company Limited hosted the Christmas Party with the 4th General Staff Meeting, at the Star Room in the Langham Hotel, Hong Kong. All colleagues from the Hong Kong headquarters as well as from regional branches have revelled together in that festive celebration. The party climaxed after the 4th General Staff Meeting, in the lucky draw slot which was filled with rapturous applause. Lots of fabulous prizes were presented at that moment. Finally, all Oriental staff gathered at the stage to get a group shot so as to make that memorable occasion which came to an end at around 11 o’clock.

World Vision's “Used Books Recycling Campaign 2006” (8 Aug 2006)

With the aim of helping the disabled children in Guizhou, Liaoning, Guangxi, Gansu provinces to obtain education and occupational training opportunities, Oriental Logistics transportation teams supported World Vision Hong Kong recently held, "Used Books Recycling Campaign 2006", without any hesitations. All proceeds were presented to the poor disabled kids, as financial assistance and to conduct professional training among their special education teachers. Therefore, from July, Oriental Logistics teams spontaneously delivered over several ten thousands used books to various destinations including Fanling and Kwun Tong warehouses, as well as East Point City in Tseung Kwan O. Finally, on the 10th of August, the organizing party thanked Oriental Logistics at the Campaign venue, for his contributions made not only to the local community, in terms of providing the local disabled with careers, but also reaching out to the needy fellows in the Mainland. Oriental Logistics has already taken the lead in logistics industry.

"Annual Dinner 2006" (30 Jun 2006)

Celebrating our 9th anniversary and heralding a new era of development, the management team led by Oriental Logistics's Managing Director, Mr. Gilbert Lau, drank a toast to all colleagues, at the recently held Annual Dinner in Chiuchow Garden Restaurant at Kwai Fong's Metro Plaza. The event was begun with the 2nd General Staff Meeting where different department heads expressed their gratitude to team members for hard work and shared experience on how to make more achievement in terms of efficiency and safety. The sounds of laughter and applause mingled in that evening air. Later, when it came to the grand prize draw, which was always a finale to any corporate event, we feasted our eyes on the fabulous prizes. At around ten o'clock, an hour left before the kick off of World Cup 2006 quarterfinal match between Germany and Argentina, all colleagues Oriental Logistics staff got together to take group shots and then continue to take part in their after dinner activities.

"Velodyne", subwoofer expert visits Oriental Logistics (08 Jun 2006)

Advanced audiophile's Hi Fi fans beloved brand, "Velodyne" is expert at manufacturing first rate quality subwoofers. Recently Velodyne's President, Mr. Bruce Hall, came to Hong Kong to visit the logistics specialist and partner, Oriental Logistics, and met with Managing Director, Mr. Gilbert Lau. On that splendid occasion, both experts exchanged opinions not only on the supply chain but also on how to get the best out of a subwoofer speaker.

"First Aider" Training (03 May 2006)

Groups of Oriental Logistics colleagues attended “First Aider” training course conducted by Hong Kong St. John Ambulance. Having undergone 3-month intensive tutorials and practices, the candidates were now tested whether they have acquired the knowledge as well as the techniques. Paid by their efforts, all candidates have undertaken that examination successfully, just like the past results. At present, our certified First Aiders are serving at various posts. This First Aid training can enhance our knowledge towards industrial safety especially, individual protective measures adopted when accident happens at the workplace.

"Repositioning 10th Anniversary" Project Team Workshop (26 Feb 2006

On 26th February, 2006, Oriental Logistics conducted “Repositioning 10th Anniversary” project team workshop in Shan Tung Room at the Langham Place Hotel from 9 o’clock in the morning until 5:00 p.m. During that day, all team members grouped together to anticipate and respond to the pressures exerted on the company, with regard to the current strict government legislation and volatile economic situation. In subsequent brainstorming session, the team built up a series of strategies aimed at making brilliant success for Oriental Logistics in the forthcoming days. A team member expressed that the workshop is meaningful to them. It enhances their team spirit and increases their perseverance in face of difficulties.

Oriental supports Community Chest of Hong Kong "Walk for Millions" (08 Jan 2006)

Oriental Logistics always dedicates themselves to charitable activities for the purpose of helping the disadvantaged to live independently. Our team incessantly stood by the Community Chest of Hong Kong and hence we took part in "Walk for Millions" program on the 8th of January this year. By 9 o'clock in the morning during the event day, we kicked off at Hong Kong Stadium, walking along Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Black's Link and finally finished at Aberdeen Country Park Visitors Centre. Under the motivation of contributing towards the society, team members strived to reach the finished point. At the end, we presented the Community Chest our donation to the hilt for the sake of helping the deprived minority.
