The "Unicef Charity Run" 2008 At Hong Kong Disneyland's Park (30 Nov 2008)

Oriental Logistics dedicates themselves to charitable activities. Our company strongly supports the Unicef Charity. In aid of the long-term rebuilding work of Sichuan, which was stricken by an earthquake on 12 May 2008, we participated in the “Unicef Charity Run” program on the 30th of November 2008 at Hong Kong Disneyland's Park.
Early in the morning, we started the charity run at Hong Kong Disneyland's Car Park, running past the Sunny Bay Road, Inspiration Lake, and along the Waterfront Promenade. Finally we finished the charity run at Hong Kong Disneyland's Car Park.
Oriental's Management team and staff joined the event to support such a meaningful activity. Our Executive Director was awarded one of the top Individual Fund Raisers.
As a Caring Company of Hong Kong, Oriental Logistics has donated an equal amount of money with respect to the total amount of donated by our staff, so as to add double the benefits raised and make a difference to the lives of needy children around the world.

Fire Drill of 2008 (25 Oct 2008)

On October the 25th, Oriental Logistics conducted a fire drill, under professional instruction delivered by the firemen team of Kwai Chung Fire Station. Our colleagues practiced what we should do in case of a fire. Having followed company safety guidelines in an emergency, we left the premises in a safe and orderly way, and within a specified period of time, we reached the gathering spot. Later, back in our company's car park area, the firemen demonstrated the correct method of using different types of fire extinguishers. Our transport team member took the initiative to put theory into practice, instantly applying what he has just learned to use the fire extinguisher. It illustrated clearly the Oriental Logistics team spirit towards facing and coping with challenges.

World Vision's "Used Books Recycling Campaign 2008" (29 Jul 2008)

With the aim of helping the students in Sichuan province to obtain education and occupational training opportunities again after the earthquake, Oriental Logistics distribution team supported World Vision Hong Kong recently held, "Used Books Recycling Campaign 2008", without any hesitations. All proceeds were presented to the poor disabled kids, as financial assistance and to conduct professional training among their special education teachers. In July, Oriental Logistics delivered used books to various destinations including Fanling and Kwun Tong warehouses, as well as East Point City in Tseung Kwan O.

512 Emergency Relief at Sichuan (4 Jun 2008)

Being a responsible company, we strongly supported “Emergency Relief at Sichuan” in order to give a hand to the recovery of the disaster victims. Thanks to all staff’s generous support, the amount of donations broke the previous records. Oriental Logistics doubled staff’s fund raised. Donations were transferred to “Hong Kong Red Cross China Relief Fund” Account.

Oriental Logistics Introduces Environmentally Friendly Vehicles To Its Fleet (3 Mar 2008)

Oriental Logistics commitment to environmental protection and corporate responsibility has made its first purchase and introduction into its fleet of trucks of a Hino 500 low-emission heavy-duty vehicle for local transportation and distribution logistics services in Hong Kong.
The Hino 500 heavy-duty truck has an engine based on the DPR (Diesel Particulate Active Reduction) clean diesel system, reducing significantly NOx and PM emissions. This reduces pollution and safe guards the environment and helps prevent global warming.
Oriental Logistics aims to become the front-runner in the logistics industry in Hong Kong in environmental protection and environmental protection awareness.

The Anniversary Dinner Of Oriental Logistics Guangzhou (18 Jan 2008)

The anniversary dinner of Oriental Logistics of Guangzhou was held on 18th January. On that night, colleagues from Oriental Logistics of Guangzhou participated in that event with joy. Colleagues have developed a sense of belonging to our company since many of them wore company uniform. On that night, after the colleagues finished their dinner that was prepared by our company, the interesting games started. Colleagues played the games joyfully. At the same time, they received presents from our company. The colleagues played the games courteously. It is obvious that the relationship between the colleagues is nice and reflected “Oriental Logistics Family”.
Last but not least, the most important part must be Group Shots all colleagues from Oriental Logistics of Guangzhou took the photos. From the joyful facial expression of our colleagues; it was obvious that our staff enjoyed the anniversary dinner.
