The project includes air cargo handling at Hong Kong International Airport, temperature-controlled lorry for local delivery and final unloading stage. SHE & 5S practise - Fire Drill of 2009 (31 Oct 2009)

Oriental Logistics is always concerning SHE & fire hazard. So fire drill become part of our SHE & 5S practise.
On October the 31st, Oriental Logistics conducted a fire drill, under professional instruction delivered by the firemen team of Kwai Chung Fire Station. Our colleagues practiced what we should do in case of a fire. Having followed company safety guidelines in an emergency, we left the premises in a safe and orderly way, and within a specified period of time, we reached the gathering spot. Later, back in our company's car park area, the firemen demonstrated the correct method of using different types of fire extinguishers. Our human resources and administration team member took the initiative to put theory into practice, instantly applying what she has just learned to use the fire extinguisher. It illustrated clearly the Oriental Logistics team spirit towards facing and coping with challenges.

Hong Kong World Vision “Famine 30” (18-19 Apr 2009)

Oriental Logistics first time participated in World Vision Hong Kong “Famine 30” so as to support food aid and development projects of World Vision. “Famine 30 heroes” were barefoot and volunteered to starve at the Hong Kong Aberdeen Sports Ground with the aim of raising funds for children who are suffering from starvation.

Being a recognized Caring Company, Oriental Logistics hopes to help to solve the starvation problem of poverty developing countries. The management of Oriental Logistics revealed that thirteen staff participated in this event. Staff self-organized to join this event may arise awareness from other colleagues. Besides, the company donated top up of staff’s donation, which can encourage staff to participate in charity functions. This is also Oriental Logistics’ long-term aim for helping the underprivileged of society.

To encourage more youngsters to have passion for logistics industry, Oriental Logistics always gives its generous supports to the education of Transport and Logistics Studies by supporting Oriental Logistics Scholarship Programme.

Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education Student Awards Reception 2009 was ended with an award presentation ceremony recently in which the representative from the Group presented the certificates to the awardees. These awardees were given the prizes as well as professional advice and encouragement from the Group. The Group hopes the students can well prepare themselves for establishing their career in the logistics industry with this valuable experience.
