HKQAA and HKLA joined hands to enhance quality in the Logistics Industry (16 Nov 2004)



Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) and Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 16, 2004 in the development and facilitation of a collaboration framework, with the aim to promote industry best practices and quality management systems in the logistics industry in Hong Kong and the Mainland China, and assist the industry in its overall process performance improvement and service enhancement.
At the MoU signing Ceremony, Mr. Raymond Leung, President of HKLA stated, "In line with Hong Kong SAR Government's directives and future development for the logistic sector and the common goal and mission the two parties share, the objective of the collaboration aims to create long-term sustainable development for the logistics sector". "Combining the expertise and resources of HKQAA and HKLA, programs will be developed to identify and promote good logistics practices and management tools for the continual improvement of HKLA member companies and the sector," said Mr. Anthony Wong, Executive Vice-President of HKLA. Mr. S.K Chan, Executive Director of HKQAA welcomed the initiative and confirmed the Agency's commitment and support to this worthy cooperation.
